Just finished my new gaming rig...

Well, not quite. My 7950 is still in the mail, but otherwise I'm done. (i5-4670k OCed, 16 GB RAM)

Anyways, I'm looking for game recs. Anything but RTS and MMORPGs. I'm not much for warfare shooters, but that doesn't mean I won't play one.

If it means anything, I currently have Audiosurf, Portal 1 + 2, Amnesia: The Dark Decent + A Machine for Pigs, Driver: San Fransisco, Half-Life [each part], The Walking Dead [all episodes], and XIII; that might help in recommendations.

I don't particularly care how old the game(s) is/are. I haven't done much PC gaming since DOOM 3. I do have Steam and would prefer if the game(s) is/are on Steam; but not being on Steam is not an issue.

I'm trying to keep my purchases under the $15-20 range at the moment (spent most of my disposable income on my new Rig), though I'll soon be buying full priced games, so they're not off limits.

Free-To-Play is cool, as long as they're not horrible without micortransactions. I don't mind buying a few add-ons to make a game better, but I don't want to have to nickle-and-dime through a game just to make it playable.

So anything you feel like recommending is welcome!

Dust: An Elysian Tail - A enjoyable 'metroidvania' platformer with fast combat, upgrades for your character and a cute catlike bat thing that follows you around.

Hotline Miami - Topdown shooter with a great 80s soundtrack, intense unforgiving combat that gives you a challenge.

Mount & Blade: Warband - Start from peasant and climb your way to king/queen, gather a band of jolly screaming nord huscarls and watch the axes fly...

The Chronicle Of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay/Assult on Dark Athena - Escape from butcher bay was a lot better than Dark Athena, but for first person stealth and melee there are really no better games for this. I honestly wish more games where made like Escape from butcher bay.

Can't go wrong with Borderlands 2 IMO.

It's also on sale right now at GreenManGaming for like $10.

Dust: Played it on 360, good game, loved it personally. But no need to re-purchase it.

Hotline Miami: Heard a lot of good things about the game, and seen a bit of it. Looks like a good game. Had totally forgotten about it until you mentioned it. I'll have to check it out.

Mount & Blade: I'll have to do more research on it before I say much else other than that I'll put it on my list of games to check out.

The Chronicle Of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay/Assult on Dark Athena: One question; Are they as good as the Thief series? If so, I'm down with that.

Borderlands 2: I'm still conflicted on it. I rented it for 360 when it came out and was lukewarm on it. I loved how the game felt (Story, Setting, Humor, etc.), but wasn't engrossed in the gameplay. I'll have to give it another spin; but most of all, I would like to thank you for introducing me to GreenManGaming. They have some great deals that are hard to pass up and comparable to Steam Sales. So for that alone I have to thank you.

Deus Ex: Human Revolutions Directors Edition: Man, don't hate me for this, but I've never been a fan of the Deus Ex series. Don't get me wrong, I think they're great games, and I understand the love for them... but it's just not really my style so to speak.

60 Mbps brother! Sure, could be better, but I don't have a cap, so it's more than enough. And I did enjoy both of the games in the past (as well as 3), so I might grab them since I haven't touched them in awhile.

While full price BF4 (can get it for $48 on GMG or less if you are in Mexico) is the best BF game to date IMO. The maps look stellar and I absolutely loved Siege of Shanghai.
