Tried step 7, didn't work. Steps 4 & 8 don't even match what I'm shown when I follow the steps.


Step 4 is most likely what you need. How's it not what you're shown?

I'm a bit surprised to see how much of a buggy mess FO3 still is.


I've gotten it working, no worries anymore thanks for everyone's help.

I would say yes, but if you have a console just play it on that.

I'd definitely recommend against playing either FO3 or New Vegas on a console. The unofficial patches alone make the PC versions vastly superior.
