Long story short, my Windows 7 wants to constantly install HDMI audio drivers when I want to simply use my sound card. I simply uninstalled the HDMI audio drivers and my soundcard worked fine. Before, the HDMI was the only one working and I couldn't switch over to the sound card. So uninstalled and the soundcard works! I restart my computer and the HDMI drivers automatically reinstall again going over my soundcard drivers again.

Sure I could simply just uninstall them over and over again, but that's stupid. This never before happened and all I changed was the fact that I actually installed the HDMI audio drivers for my graphics card, which were uninstalled only a few days ago. Never gave me a problem until recently. I don't think this is my video card hdmi drivers being installed because the CCC isn't nice enough to automatically update itself.

Can't you just disable the device from the device manager or sound control panel?

Not from the device manager. I've done it through the control panel. I'll see if it gives me a different result.

Cool, that did the trick. I tried uninstalling them first, but they just reinstalled after the reboot. I then just went to disable them and that worked. Odd how it worked from the device manager and not the control panel. Thanks for the tip!

You could have just disallowed Windows from automatically installing drivers.
