Seriously why in hell? Are they still stuck in the 1980s? I mean can't they make their sprites not 8bit?

This is decent/good 2D graphics:

It's really not about laziness. It's about them making the games THEY LIKE TO PLAY. And obviously a fair number of others do too

You just can't appreciate the fine 'indy artistic vision' that the developer is trying to convey.

I'm joking, they just need a better artist and realize that low resolution textures aren't an excuse anymore.

Again. This really isn't it. The devs like 8-bit. I like 8-bit. So they make 8-bit games. It's really that simple.

1. That isn't being lazy.
2. Learn what 8bit looks like.
3. Learn what an art style is and how retro is a valid choice.
4. Learn that bashing the look like nothing good can be done with it is stupid.

Its not lazy, its a style. A lot of us adore that style.

And ask any pixel artist whats lazier; hand drawing every possible animation with every possible load out, or the copy/paste that is 3d rendering.

I think they should aim more at the 16 and 32 bit sprite quality, myself.

SF3, for instance, is a great looking game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaQOlBlEb0o

Or, at the very least, the level of detail that Megaman X had.
Once we perfect building Mechs, I expect there to be a factory in Mexico pumping out a brand call Mechsican. I wanna buy me a Mechsican.
