I guess 300-400. I wouldnt mind spending about 500 if the card is worth it. I bought my 4890 for about 330 i think about 3 or 4 years ago. Its been good to me but since Battlefield 3 i cant max games anymore.

Also is a Nvidia worth it for the PhysX alone?

Or should i stick with ATI?

Most recent games are starting to not use PhysX anymore, and thats bad because it wasnt even used that much back when it was a factor. It's not really worth it to go Nvidia JUST for PhysX

The R9 290 is a fantastic card for $400. But I would wait for the cards with non-reference coolers to come out first. Unless you don't mind the noise and heat.
