Hey, im looking to get the best computer i can for $1300. It's mostly for gaming right now. I was looking at an AMD FX 8350, 1TB harddrive, 8 gigs of ram, and a 120GB ssd so far. I need a monitor too. Thanks.

at 1300 you should be getting an i5 or i7

Would the i5 or i7 be better instead of the fx 8350? What's the difference? One has 8 cores and hyperthreading and seems to have more power.

Don't buy into the # of cores. a 4 core i5 is usually better than an 8 core fc depending on the model. Cores and clock speeds don't always tell the whole story. For gaming Intel is better than AMD. You're not making a budget build so no reason to go AMD cpu-wise.
Gamefaqs game rating system : 10 = Best Game Ever. 8-9. Crushing dissapointment. Below 8 :Total Garbage. This is getting ridiculous. people agreeing so far 105

That's great if lives near a Microcenter (cpu is store pick up only).

Yeah im thinking of changing the 8350 to a i5-4670k instead. Or maybe a 3570k, im not sure. Is the difference between the i5 and 8350 a lot?

This is pretty good, but not sure why you added the CPU cooler. Doubt the TC is going to be overclocking right away. At standard speeds, the 4670K runs plenty cool.
