Intel Core i5 3210M 2.5 GHz
6 GB DDR3
750 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
AMD Radeon HD 7730M 2GB
15.6" Full HD Widescreen (1920x1080) Matte
Windows 8

$750

Aside from the lack of a number pad and managing to be heavier than my previous desktop replacement, I can't find any fault.

I think you could do better for $750. Have you looked at Lenovo's lineup?

You can get a y410p for $800, giving you a 4700MQ and 755M, both much better for your uses. Youu be giving up screen size and resolution though.

Yeah, I've been looking at the Lenovo Y500 and Y510p but there are problems...

Y500: No Optimus but Ivybridge. Expensive.

Y510p: No Optimus if ultrabay GPU is inserted, which is good. No mSATA slot for adding an SSD. NGFF (mSATA successor) bay is present but there's no connector soldered to the mobo unless you buy the Y510p variant with the cache drive. Even more expensive. Same deal with the Y410p but at least it always has the NGFF connector (I think).

If the S440 was out now, I'd buy it in a heartbeat...

Comes with an 8670M in a ridiculously thin profile.
