I bought some new parts and the I actually need one more SATA cable. I already have two SATA III cables from the SSD and HDD, but I still need one more for a DVD drive. I managed to rip one SATA I cable from an ancient PC, but is that even enough for a DVD drive? It's not like it's gonna get used much, but still, is it compatible?

Yes that is fine...Sata I is capable of 150MB/s.

Edit: Actually there is no such thing as a sata 1 cable, its all the same.
