Still holding out for a non-ref r9 290. If not, might just go ref, crank the fan up, then eventually install aftermarket solution.

I've spent 375$ so far, got everything on black friday sales. I do not actually have any optical drive or windows yet.

Got my CPU/Mobo, and psu, waiting for my case, hdd, and ram to show up in the mail so I can piece this bad boy together. Never attempted a build before so I'm exceptionally anxious. Alls I need now is a graphics card. I'm thinking GTX770 sometime around tax time, would that be a good fit?

Here's what I bought for my upgrade. Price is in my local currency.

4570 + MSI-G43 $430
Seagate Barracuda 1tb $80
Creative Soundblaster Z $80
Corsair K70 - 100$
Fractal Design Define R4 $138

Rest of my build

4gb x 2 Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz
Palit 680 GTX
Ocz Vertex 4 128 gb
WD Caviar Black 1tb
Seasonic M12 620W

Amazon is pretty cheap than my locally bought things. Imma wait till next year black friday to upgrade.
