i'm considering selling my MSI R7970 Twin Frozr OC Boost Edition on ebay. hoping to cash in on this bitcoin crap. hoping to get $300-350 for it and put it toward a 780. would love to get the 780ti but i don't want to spend over $500. Now i have only had my 7970 for a couple of months(recently upgraded from a 560ti) but i just haven't felt comfortable not having a Nvidia card(i miss my Physx and geforce experince).

i'm also concerned if my cpu will bottleneck with a 780 and if my psu will do. i game @2560x1080

I think you'll be able to get more than $350 for that since 7950s are selling for $400..

why spend $300 on a used card when you can just buy a brand new 280x for $300?

It's probably the best possible time, given the recent bitcoin craze. People are buying up 7970/280X cards like their lives depend on them.

Superior aftermarket cooler. The stock cooler is smaller & doesn't do the job for long gameplay(15min or more).
