TC if you are building a gaming PC why are you putting in a multimedia graphics card? Put a gaming level card in it.
Gamefaqs game rating system : 10 = Best Game Ever. 8-9. Crushing dissapointment. Below 8 :Total Garbage. This is getting ridiculous. people agreeing so far 105

It can be done. I did it in 2010.

What I did was purchase a mid-range GPU, and a midrange CPU,. Especially the GPU is typically easy to find second-hand since this is a component people upgrade so often. For the rest I was extremely cheap on the rest of the components.

That does not mean you can not have quality components, just lower specced ones. For example, I got a practically free, relatively small 5.400 RPM HDD, and the case was an old case my brother had. These all worked perfectly, they were just nothing fancy.

Though I did it for 500 euros. Which is more than 500 dollars. But since PC components are more expensive here, I think that kind of evens out.
