Probably Red Dead Redemption -- Huge empty spaces of absolutely nothing all over the place. I never finished it, I did muscle myself all the way to Mexico hoping it would get better before finally giving up out of boredom. If the map wasn't so big and empty, I probably would've enjoyed the game.

Ferelden from Dragon Age.

I'd say this is one of the best, personally.

Dirty, gritty fantasy world that turns some of the standard tropes on their heads while maintaining enough familiarity to easily relate to all of it.

The worst I can think of off the top of my head is Kingdom Hearts. I know some people love it, but I just can't look at the Final Fantasy mashed up with Disney mess they have and care at all what happens with it. The first game was ok, I guess, but the 2nd one has such a completely screwed up mess of a story and characters that I can't understand how anyone even really understands what they're saying 90% of the time, much less enjoys it.

It's inevitable that someone is going to dislike a game someone else likes. I kinda liked Skyrim but I don't feel particularly trolled that Joe up there thinks anything past Morrowind is trash. I liked Fallout 3 and Loved New Vegas even more... I'm not outraged that TC didn't like it.

Just because we don't share the same opinion doesn't necessarily mean it's a troll... It could just be a difference in tastes. I actually appreciate a good vanilla ice cream, some people might turn their noses up at it and say it's "too plain". Are they trolling me when they say that? (If they are, damn, I got trolled... Next time I see them I'm gonna punch them in the mouth).

If by worst you mean poorly designed, I'm going to say Ferelden from Dragon Age. All the NPCs are either filler space who serve no actual purpose, or they're total users asking over the top favors for little reward. It just seems shallow.

But if by worst you instead mean grim, falling apart, doomed, etc I'm gonna go with Warhammer 40,000 games. The galaxy is doomed from the start of the setting, slowly crumbling while humanity works desperately but hopelessly to save it.

In fact I think this whole topic is troll bait.

Since the topic was going fine with some actual discussion before you posted that, the only logical explanation for your posting is that somebody dislikes a game you like in here.
Just for the record, "someone who pisses you off by disagreeing with you" is not the definition of a troll.
Why don't you try contributing to the thread rather than just popping in and needlessly making waves?
The moderation staff and system on this website are both absolutely terrible.

Superman 64 is the worst I can think of. When you can get into an open world state in the game, it's pretty fun to screw around in because it's so bad and unfinished. The police HQ isn't even a building, it's two posts with a sign or something. There's so much of the world that they didn't even finish and what is in the game makes very little sense. Even for a virtual reality Metropolis, you'd think Lex Luthor could do better than that. Even if his goal was to drive Superman insane, Luthor would try way too hard for it be this cutting edge simulation, the game world seems more like if Bizarro got his hands on LexCorp tech and made a videogame out of it.
