The Last Remnant. It is a lot better than people say, don't listen to whiners.

No it's not. It's mediocre at best. Cool that you like it, but that doesn't make it good.

I quite liked The Last Remnant, it certainly fits all the descriptors up top.

I can't think of a JRPG with depth, let alone one on PC.

I think you might be out of luck.

Why are people so obsessed with only playing JRPGs?
There are plenty of turn-based games games on PC of basically any setting possible.
Not to mention that japanese themselves are steering away from turn-based games as something super niche and outdated. They don't treat it with respect if you ask me.
PC gamers, however, love and support turn-based games.

Well, most of the game he listed are not even turn based. Baldur's Gate isn't really turn based.

Are you looking at the combat specifically? Do you want basically a PC Final Fantasy ( 7 and 8 are on PC now BTW )?

Are you just looking for "turn based"? Fallout 1 and 2 are turn based, very different from FF though.

Are you looking for just a big RPG? Plenty of those, such as Dragon Age: Origins.

Plenty of action based RPG, like The Witcher series. You did mention Secret of Mana.

You can't possibly be talking about OP, and your post has nothing to do with anyone else in this topic.

Someone once said "opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one" - I can't comment on the game, but OP's affection for the game is no more/less valid than your apathy towards it.

Especially odd when you consider early JRPGs like Dragon Warrior were inspired by CRPGs like Wizardry etc.
