Was that a good deal or bad deal? - Results (115 votes)
Good Deal. Better to sell it before prices go back to sane levels.

Bad Deal. You should've sold it for more or kept it for mining

Yeah I was thinking that, but I only got two replies off of craigslist. And there were other people selling their 7950s in the NYC area for $250-$315 so that made it harder for me. I might not have been able to sell it if I hadn't taken this deal

Not to mention, my highest stable hashrate was ~460kh/s. There are people who were able to get ~600-700kh/s on there 7950s. Mines didn't overclock well either. The memory wouldn't go past 1350 and the core was barely stable at 1000mhz while mining. So its not like the card was a golden sample

I almost gave in to some dude offering 375 thinking no one was down to pay the 500, but lo and behold it sold I guess. =)

I did it for a couple days and made about $18 worth of lite coin. But because my has rate was already lower than normal 7950s, and because it would take me 2-3 months to get $320 of money from litecoin. I decided to sell the card. I'm hoping that in the next 2-3 months the prices for high end video cards drop a bit so I could get an even stronger replacement for a similar price

ebay takes 10% and paypal takes another 1.9% so you actually made about 440$ still a damn good deal.
i still haven't found what i'm looking for...
