My specs are below, and I have vsync off. A friend of mine said that if I turn off vsync, then I get higher frames. He has a 470, and apparently is getting no screen tearing. It gets pretty bad if I'm turning. It capped the framerate to 120, but no difference. Also, my settings are at the highest, and 1080p.

When vsync is off, screen tearing is expected.

Vsync makes the game unplayable for me. The input lag is unbearable.

Without it on, the tearing is ridiculous.

Yes, there has to be a middleman somewhere! The input lag (esp. on CSGO) makes the game harder! I guess I'll try to ignore it...

Turn on v-sync via nvidia control panel (Provided you have an nvidia card, I think v-sync is broken in CCC), that should provide a better experience than the in-game vsync. I always hated vsync until I did that. It will also run games at your monitor's refresh rate vs a lot of games will cap it at 30/60 in addition to the sync.
Every time I try to go where I really wanna be it's already where I am, 'cuz I'm already there
