Will it cause any hardware/software conflict if I have both RealPlayer and Window Media Player? Which one should I set as the default player? Or it doesn't matter?

thanks

I'd say you're in great shape if you don't have RealPlayer.

And Windows should have WMP by default, I can't imagine you being able to remove it.

well, what i like about RealPlayer is the "RealDownloader" feature - that allows me to download pretty much any flash videos I want from sites and save them on my com.

Window Media Player doesn't have this feature - correct me if I'm wrong.

If you use Firefox you can use the DownloadHelper extension to download Flash videos. I'm sure Chrome has an extension to do the same. I wouldn't download RealPlayer just for that, at least.

I prefer greasemonkey scripts for that versus full blown addons.

Yep.

Also, have you tried VLC or Potplayer?

I stopped at RealPlayer. Under no circumstances is it OK to have that piece of crap. :P
