I was wondering if there are any cheap and reliable arcade sticks compatible with PC and PS3? Would not mind a wired one though and would not mind going for a fancy one if it is really worth it. Any suggestion under the $100 price range and available on ebay as I am in australia.

Well, I don't know about its availability/cost for an Australian but there's the PS3 Fighting Stick V3 by Hori for around 60 USD (works for PS3/PC).

Are Horis decent ones? I only saw some fancy collectible ones and a few Horis. Most of them are from overseas and I am afraid of getting cheap ones that break easily or with an appalling quality. I also dont want To spend something as huge as 300 for the razer one.

I have a Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 SA which works fantastically on both my PC and PS3. Its got Sanwa parts so its very responsive and built like a tank, all I had to do was swap the square gate for an octo and the ball top for a bat and I ended up with a stick thats just like the ones I grew up with in the arcade.

Mine cost just over $100 about five years ago, I think the new versions are a bit more expensive but still worth it IMHO.

Ok I will check out those Horis. I could see the cheaper $50 range version but I guess I would try to check EB games here first. I think I saw a bunch of them in one of the stores here. I sort of want to invest in out because its really good to have around. I might give in to a cheap one before I would really buy in one that I am planning to keep for years though. Arcade sticks are pretty rare in the stores here and I only remember seeing them on special editions of blazblue and tekken 6 or that fancy streetfighter 4 one.

You can have a look at the Qanba Q1, it fits within your budget.

http://www.play-asia.com/qanba-q1-arcade-joystick-paOS-13-49-en-70-5rvf.html

While it doesn't have the Sanwa parts in it, it seems to be getting good reviews.

If you really can throw in some more money in it though, I strongly recommend this stick:

It's the one I was recommended before and it is really good. Uses Sanwa parts and compatible with PC, PS3 and 360 (if you need it).

Ok cheers! Its good to know I have some other options as I am not ready to shell out more than a $100 at the moment. Still have to make queries whether Amazon delivers to Australia or some of those other sites.

I put up the Amazon links for reference really. Amazon doesn't ship gaming peripherals to Australia. Play Asia definitely does though, which is where I got my Q4 from.

(Before you ask, I don't remember how much shipping was)

I strongly second the Qanba Q1:

http://eightarc.com/qanba-q1-ps3/

This is a great entry level stick for $60.00 out of the box. Durable and the parts are decent quality.

What's more, if you decide later on you want a higher quality stick you can mod it fairly easily with Sanwa/ seimetsu parts for roughly $30.00-40.00 which is both easy and optional. If you just swap the buttons it won't be more than $16-20.

I've never owned a qanba but I have used a cheap hori, 2 hraps and a madcatz TE. They're all mostly the same as long as you get good parts.
