I was browsing this website but have never bought anything from it.

I am seeing a lot of old great games like Wing Commander 1 and 2, Master of Orion 1 and 2 etc. The main thing is it says they are compatiable with windows 8? Is this true? Have the games been redone or patched up to work on modern PC's? Anyone have an experience here?

Yes... and they give you your money back if it doesn't work....on DRM free games they give you your money back...well first you have to at least TRY to make it work.

So yeah, GoG is awesome.

They all work on new systems. All the games I have played that require DOS come with a custom DOSBox launcher.

I've purchased plenty of old games there and aside from Wing Commander (either the first or second, I forget), they all worked well on my rig. Don't have Windows 8 though. I had to lower the speed in DOSbox for WC to get it to run properly, because you were flying way too fast in space.
