Idk if I should sell my pc as is and start over, or just upgrade what I want to. Net budget is about $1,000. If I keep what I have now I plan on getting a 4770k + mobo, a new PSU and a second 760 for SLI.

Sounds pretty epic if you ask me. Jealous of your SLI. Can't wait til I can afford a second 780 and inevitably an upgraded PSU.

Is going to an i7 going to give you that much more performance to warrant a new cpu and motherboard? Does your board currently support SLI?

My board doesn't support SLI, and I am getting a new CPU regardless. I have too many issues in CPU bound games that aren't multithreaded.

Got a huge tax return, trying to decide what to do upgrade wise.

I suggest you upgrade your tax information with your employer so that you keep more of your money per paycheck and stop overpaying the government.

Some of us aren't so strapped for cash that we need every penny right away. Sure, I could put it to better use myself, but I also don't want to have to worry about owing anything at the end of the year. Once I had a mailman that wouldn't take my mail for some reason, said the postage was invalid or something, and it just so happened to be the tax return that I owed money on. I had to file a complaint on him to get them to finally take it.

because he already has 1 760, and 2 760s slightly outperforms a 780 in some instances
