The CPU's beat out the most commonly bought i7s leaving only the 400$+ high end ones the motherboard is just the best socket you can use. Power Supply just misses bronze with 80+ efficiency.

Intel Xeon E7450 @ 2.39 GHz(7322)
4 processors, 24 cores

Intel Core i7-3770 @ 1.60 GHz(11375)
1 processor, 8 cores

Where exactly? That's 4 of your processors working together at a faster clock speed than the i7 and it still can't even come close.

Also do you have any real life proof that these processor perform well for gaming?

The CPU is six years out of production

It is a 6 score, and even for $50 is pretty bad, because the socket is limited. It can't accept SSD at 6Gbps, or PCI 3.0, or anything like that.

I expect it's roughly like a Core 2 Quad Q9500...

yes i know its a six core but absolutely no i7s are 8 core 8 threads not eight cores.

So moar cores = better? Mkay, and there are 6 core i7s.

More like Intel 6 cores>AMD 8 cores

AMD still has trouble matching cpus like these

It would be better going with an AMD CPU over your CPU.
