Which is since it replaced the Amiga in that role, around 1993.

ah the amiga.

while most people mainly played on nes/snes/genesis, the amiga is where i spent the most of my time despite owning a genesis.
PC hardware doesn't need to match console hardware in price when PC gamers save literal thousands from the software they buy.
