Z87, 4760K

If you can find a deal on a Z77, 3570K, go with that because the gaming performance isn't much, if any different.

I've noticed a huge price range from ~$120-$300+ on Z87's. Does it matter which one I get?

The more expensive motherboards have more features with and some can support 64GB of RAM as well. If your just going to be using it for normal use than those features you most likely couldn't care about. So just get the 120-150 dollar ones and it will be more than enough.

3570K still easily stomps both consoles' CPU, it'll be relevant for a very long time.
