ok i just got a pc, now it was only $150 but it was an improvement over my old build, but it seems to run games I use to be able to pretty much max in slow motion.

old build was even crappier
phenom x4 9500
radeon iceq hd 4850
8gb ddr2
300w
vista then win 8

new one
intel i5 3300 3.0ghz
radeon hd 6770
8gb ddr3
600w
windows 8

im only playing games like
fallen enchantress(runs in slow mo, ran on high on old),
lego marvel (runs ok on both)
state of decay (runs terribly on new, was playable on old)
the banner sage (seems to run fine on the new).

it says all drivers are up to date, so i dont know what else it could be.

Do you have the latest drivers installed for your video card?

Lower settings, Defrag, Check for viruses, If all else fails...System Restore? Since its new it shouldn't hurt that much.
I'd play more MMOs if there was no chat.
