The fan recently died on it and I tried to replace the cooling unit.
I took a forum's suggestion and ordered this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835426026
However, much to my dismay, it didn't fit on my card ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150561 ) even though I gave them a link to my exact item.
I'm rather frustrated because I ordered that product thinking it'd solve my issue and it ended up being incompatible. I have been out of the hardware loop awhile and don't know what is out now and if it would be worth it to upgrade to a newer card, or spend some more cash on a fan for mine and ride out the life of this card.

Any advice anyone can offer would be much appreciated!

Might be better just to get a new GPU, what's your budget to spend on it?

Thank you for your reply. I would like to keep it cheap if possible, though I can respect a nice price to performance ratio. Under $300, but if there is a great card in the $200 to $250 range I'd prefer that.

I have the 780ti ACX from EVGA so I can personally vouch for the awesome cooler it has.

And yeah, you'll be quite happy with that card. :-)

I would upgrade the graphics card (assuming your CPU is decent).

Thank you so much :)

Is my CPU also in need of an upgrade? I have an i3-2120. I believe I'm stuck in the 1155 socket but don't some i5s fit that socket? I'm not really sure what to do with it.
