I can't seem to find any expert reviews of it. Do you have any idea how quiet or loud it is? And how is Toshiba's customer support?

You could also get this WD Green one that's 3TB for about the same price. It's not a 7200 RPM drive of course, though.

Well, I got the HDD. Is there any way to automatically have Windows create a new directory for personal files (documents, video, etc.) on the new HDD? I'd rather not create folders for everything manually

Yes. Right click My Documents > Properties > Location tab > Set your new location for that folder. Repeat for Pictures, Videos, Downloads, etc.
