I figure its just another typical Bethesda game. But it just keeps on freezing. I really don't have many mods running that I think would require it to flash or anything. I only have like 15, and almost all of those are armor mods, which I have yet to even find.

But its frozen three times already. Once in the MEgaton Water plant, I reloaded my game and left the building and went to Moria's shop right down the way, and it froze as I was leaving. And the other it froze heading to the bomb in the center of town.

This is the only gae I have had freeze on me out of all of the ones I play. And I can binge on Skyrim with over 100 mods on at a time.

Any tips to help me out? Like general knowledge I might be too new to think of?

I'd run the game unmodded first just to rule out the game itself.
Then just add one mod at a time to make sure they all work together.
My guess is that you have mods that arnt compatible together.

Possibly. But I did careful reading and made sure none of what I downloaded conflicted with each other.

And I already have the FOSE, I will try getting the unofficial patch as well.

It doesn't crash. It just freezes. The only way out of it, is to use the Task Manager and close the problem.

Also, since I am still new to all this
I have the retail version of the GOTY edition. Question:
Do I have to check the boxes for all the DLC in the Data Files section to be able to use them?
cause I didn't do that, they are all unchecked, but when I got out of the Vault I got messages saying Broken Steel Raised my cap, there was a strange Ferry for Point Lookout, and the Outcast broadcast for Operation Anchorage. I didnt get any notification for Mothership Zeta(though to be honest I don't remember if you do).

Should I check the boxes for them just incase?

There's an easy ini tweak that you need to do for it to run on modern machines. Just do a quick google search. After I did the tweak the game ran flawlessly for me.
