If you're gonna spend money for a dedicated 2D game controller, might as well go for a JP Saturn controller and adapter.

PS3 controller is fine. Mainly because you can use it for everything, including old and modern games.

In theory, the SNES buttons might be better (due to how the PS3 buttons are analog) but the digital pad is probably worse.

I prefer to use a PS3 controller. It ends up being more useful than a SNES controller due to the extra buttons.

I use a PS2 controller for old console games. Works well, even for Genesis and NES games.
... even on Earth Mode.

damn thing is a clone snes controller but its better then a snes controller. dpad on the thing is godlike and it has turbo functionality

ps3 dpad is s*** compared to the snes

Really? Most 3rd party clones are bad, but after looking into this one it seems like it might actually be good. Is it really that good? How is the build quality? Any one else vouch for this?

Also after looking into the Saturn controller, that isn't for me because of the layout of the six face buttons. Also for logitech game pads which ones are you guys referring to?

I use the DS4 and its perfect. I don't think the dpad changed much though.
