Buy on Origin, it is superior and doesn't go down as often.

Still not worth it because the maximum city size is ridiculously small, because they want you to play with other people in an online "region" where your cities are interdependent. If the offline mode removed that limitation, it might be okay.

This is my main concern about the game. I might give EA my money when it goes on sale for very very very very cheap and IF and only IF they have fixed this issue

Absolutely no reason to purchase this garbage regardless of how hard these rats try to save face. You have SimCity 2000, 3000 and even 4 you could be playing that are all vastly superior in every meaningful aspect. If you make some comment about wanting current-gen graphics then you're an idiot and shouldn't be playing any kind of sim or strategy games to begin with.

I think I'll stick with Banished.

EA can piss off.

I bought the damn thing on release and after all its initial connectivity problems finally put a few hours into it about two months later, but yeah after being able to fill an entire map in an hour or so I won't be playing it again until much, much larger maps are introduced.

Apparently that won't happen though because low-end machines will struggle (http://www.simcity.com/en_US/blog/article/state-of-simcity), so that was a waste of 35.

It's great, because the city sizes in Banished, an indie title made by one guy, are significantly larger than the city sizes in SimCity 5, a triple-A game made by a large team with a ton of funding.
And it has a better / more complex simulation of citizens, too.
The sole purpose of this space is to make my post look longer.
