You should try it first instead of blindly taking people word for it. Play vanilla first then mod what you don't like

The dungeons aren't bad at all. A few are lack luster but many are pretty good.

However I do recommend all of the sounds of skyrim mods as they add a lot to the immersion.

Screw it here are some mods in general I suggest for everyone.
Sounds of Skyrim

Improved combat sounds

Blood enhancer

Dance of Death

Also grab the unofficial skyrim patches. Other than that it is personal taste.

I hate any and all Elder Scrolls but if that picture is in any way true, then the dungeons in Skyrim ARE terrible, and thats just a fact.

Only a few are like that. Many have branching rooms and alternate paths. Also a few actually don't have any semblance of linearity and go every which way due to having multiple objectives.

Not only that there are the Dwemer dungeons which lead into a massive underground world that is completely open.

Skyrim dungeons are very linear, but they are well-balanced and typically allow for whatever your playstyle is.

The only problem with Skyrim's dungeons, is you fight and puzzle your way through their whole length, and at the end of each and every one of them there's a shortcut back to the entrance. Just once I'd have liked the option to have been able to find and open that shortcut at the beginning and skip through (Though being a greedy little sod, I'd have still gone through it for the loot).

add this mod to your game to add more variety to the enemies;

it will get boring fighting the same enemy over and over, trust me on that one lol

My only problem with Skyrim was the lack of unique loot. Dungeons were nice to look at, and some of them were genuinely pretty awesome, but not having any good loot to look forward too kinda takes the wind out of the whole ordeal.

In other words, I would look for a mod that fixes dungeon loot.
