I heard it was watered down a little and really that is not a bad thing.

Play the superior "King's Field" series. Dark Souls is a step down from the much superior predecessor.

The amount of tryharding in this post is depressing. King's Field and the Souls games play completely differently.

Next time you try to pretend you are whatever you want people to believe you are, try mentioning Shadow Tower instead of King's Field.

I don't know what you mean by watered down. But it's a good game and, sure, get it.

Its not really watered down. If you like action rpgs, and arent averse to a little bit of a challenge then get it.

The PC version is surprisingly excellent, althought the KBM controls are still bad.

If by watered down you mean more challenging than the first if you're soloing, then yes. It's totally watered down. But it's really well optimized. Looks beautiful and runs really well using downsampling from 4k on my dual 680s

And it runs perfectly smooth maxed at 1920x1200 on my single 6870.

What do you expect from a game made for last gen consoles?
