How good is the 750 Ti? I'd really like a card to pull me through a whole generation of consoles, like my 8800 did/is doing. I know it came out a year or so after the 360 did and I'm still gaming with it.

My gaming collection is still mainly last gen games, and Im getting through them. Right now Im playing Skyrim and it's doing just fine at 1080p. I did cap the frames at 30, because it jumps violently.

Is it better to just wait for a good deal on a 760 at sub $200? Im a cheap bastard, but I have an i5 4670k and 8 gigs of ram.

The 750TI will play all last gen games well, and will play modern games pretty solid. If you want it to last the entire gen of consoles youll have to lower settings, and may have to go to console level settings in the future (720p 30fps)

A 750 Ti for $120 is a hell of a deal. It's a great option if you're a cheap bastard :) You'll be thrilled with the giant performance boost from the 8800.

The 760 is a pretty good card. And for $120 the 750 Ti is a really good deal as stated. Not sure how much 760s are running right now, so grabbing the 750 TI right now might be a good choice. It'll play all the games you have now and better than your 8800. For what it seems you want to do I don't think either will be bad.

Yeah, you'll at least get and exceed very slightly current gen console games and it's a great deal for $120, far cheaper than the consoles if you have a rig capable of the card which is anything with a pci-e 2.0 + slot, card draws the power from the pci-e which is nice

If you satisfied with PS4/XBOX1 level of graphics, this card will do.

It's a great deal but asking this to carry you through the whole gen is REALLY cheap and I think it's gonna suck. Right now I'd pick a 770 or better if you plan for it to last 4+ years.

It is the best entry level gaming card, very good bang for your buck. Personally, I would never go below a 760.
You can spend $400 on a console and $400 on a cheap PC, or you can spend $800 to build your own and have the best of both worlds.

i have the best 750ti which is the evga 750ti ftw and i would not recommend this card it still lags behind older cards like 7870. if you do still decide on 750ti the one i mentioned is loud on idle so i would not recommend it.
whens mahvel?
