I can't speak for conviction but Blacklist is great. [My Rig + Specs] - - - -

The only one I liked more was Chaos Theory. It feels much more like a splinter cell game than conviction.

Its much more like its predecessors than conviction was. Although it can still be played like an action shooter like conviction if you want. There are 3 playstyles rewarded; 1) Panther - stealth with killing 2)Ghost - knockouts and evasion, and 3) You don't know how to play splintercell mode where you kill everything stealth be damned.

Its quite a challenge to stick with ghost entirely but I think its possible (I still have 2 levels to go).

Just started playing it a few days ago and i'm loving it. The "Realistic" difficulty setting doesn't mess around.

Controversial opinion: Conviction was fun. I loved the terrorist mode, or whatever it was called. The singleplayer was stupid with the "Sam on the run, all your tools are gone" thing, but it still has most of the gadgets in there.

I haven't played Black List, I just wanted to type words.

Conviction was fun, IMO, but not a good Splinter Cell game, and well, even the story was meh. But I got a metric s*** ton of hours out of the Terrorist Hunt-style mode. Hardcore no alert, melee only runs were intense as hell. :P

Blacklist is a LOT better at being "Stealthy" than Conviction was. Far less forced aggro missions (Maybe only one or two? And even those you could flank and go "Stealth" if you were quick--Still had to kill, but hey). A hell of a lot better selection of gadgets and equipment to go non-lethal or aggressive/distraction oriented.

Going fully down the different "Playstyle paths" that DV8 mentioned is pretty rewarding in it's own right. Getting gold for full-on stealth gameplay (And, IIRC, in many cases--That includes avoiding enemies rather than killing, if you so desire) is a good challenge and essentially pays for itself by giving you money for upgrades.

Still need to get around to doing the side missions and some co-op, but it was a good run through in the single player.

Loved it. Classic SvM is awesome if you have a friend. We hated the new one where you can customize and all that. Didn't seem well balanced.

Loved it--much better than most of the recent entries in the SC franchise.
