Super Hexagon. Maybe. More of an "easy to learn hard to master" game. But if you're looking for a difficult game, definitely Super Hexagon. It's only $3, too.

I'm gonna reassure myself that I am indeed, better than all of you at playing video games by scoffing at your examples of games with a "steep learning curve", whilst simultaneously not adding anything of value to the discussion.

I have to agree here, the only ones on that list that have a real steep learning curve are Counter-Strike, and Arma.

I'll also throw in Quake Live, for the steep learning curve.

FTL is pretty tough. I'm sure there's a couple of fairly simple strategies to beating it reliably but after 20 hours I haven't figured them out on my own. I've only beaten it a few times on easy.
Every time I try to go where I really wanna be it's already where I am, 'cuz I'm already there

There's nothing with a steeper learning curve than Dwarf Fortress.
