Don't bother. Get 16GB when you switch to a mobo that uses DDR4.

As someone who decided to "future proof" and waste $90 on more RAM, 8 gigs is already future proofed. Save your money.

You want 16gbs of RAM if you have a lot of applications running that use close to or more than 8gb of RAM for the sole purpose of avoiding the page file.

8gb is good enough for OS + playing a game, and maybe some apps running.

Get another SSD if you have money to burn. At least you'll get something you'll be able to use.

Do you have a SSD? Know about ramdisk? If you are gonna get more ram you should find a way to use it.
