Played the game on PSP wasn't all that impressed with it. The game has hardly anything for gameplay for it. Leveling or grinding is absolutely not required nor needed. Its a big giant story with a few rpg elements thrown into it.

Game is not that long. I know I've put in somewhere between 50-60 hours. The Second chapter I heard is much longer, evident by the script being doubled.

Because this is a RPG game series that rivals Final Fantasy in popularity just by mere word of mouth alone? Also has a story that rivals Lord of the Rings in length, if not longer? (Apparently, 1.2 million kanji just for the 2nd game alone)

I played it and I don't really get what all the fuss is about. It's a fine little RPG but it's not that great and the storyline wasn't particularly impressive.
