So I was brought this laptop to fix because it can no longer be detected. When I hit the power button there is about 10-15 short beeps. It is not found in the BIOS and my external drive caddy does the same beeps when I insert it and the other PC does not detect it. Its dead isn't it?

You're the one fixing it, and hopefully getting paid to do it. Is it dead?

Find the manufacturer and model and look up the motherboard beep codes. Typically a dead HDD won't cause beep codes though. What happens when you boot without the HDD in the laptop at all? What happens when you use the plug the drive and drive caddy into your own PC?
