Isn't there enough "But guyz, stahp it" EA d*** riding on this board all ready? Now we have to have Ubisoft d*** riding too? The Valve d*** riding can go to hell too while we're at it.

How do you feel about the hate topics?

Generally the companies in question have earned it.

Used to use always online DRM that only stopped paying customers from playing their game.

That right there was one of the absolute biggest points of disgust with me for Ubisoft. I could have been online and authenticated just fine, and even get a good way into a game, but the instant there was so much as a hiccup in internet connection, the game would immediately kick you out, losing all of your progress. Single-player games, mind you, which have zero business being *required* to be online.

At least Blizzard handled that bit properly - if you lost net connection, you would only stop earning achievements, but could keep playing. Since I don't give two s***s about achievements, I was fine with that, since I could keep playing. Ubisoft didn't allow that option.

I don't like them because Watch Dogs and Far Cry 3 both sucked hardcore.

Their anti PC views? Their God awful ports? The fact they lie to our faces? They've got a few completed games for the Wii U but don't release them? Their always online DRM is a 'success'? They claim that 95% of PC gamers are pirates? They rehash games almost as much as Activision? UPlay? Stupid rewards system? They're French?

Choose any of those.

-They released Might and Magic X as an early access game, yet the final product was full of bugs and performance issues...
-Then decided to stop supporting the game entirely a few months after the game was released, even when not all bugs have been fixed;
-Most their games have performance issues

So... Like Bethesda, but without an editor?

I just got tired of their games personally. I used to love assassins creed. Must have played brotherhood over 100 hours. Then revelation was alright, then I just felt like 3 kinda sucked. Now it's just like, meh another ac game not gonna waste my time/money anymore.

Because UPlay.

Oh and all their sequels are repetitive rehashes of the last iteration.

Also their DRM outside of UPlay. As well as some of the worst PC ports I've ever played.

And more recently, Watch_Dogs was the biggest disappointment since Duke Nukem Forever.

I'll point out here that this is true of pretty much every current major publisher, not specific to Ubi.

Back when I actively hated Ubisoft it was because of the always online bull s***. After they removed that, it went to more of a "passive hate" over the Uplay client (which is kinda clunky and unnecessary).

At least Rocksmith doesn't require you to load up the Uplay Client... sure you need a Uplay account, but you don't have to load up the client while you play it. I'd be much closer to actively hating them for that.

The worst thing about Uplay is that you can't share your games that use Uplay. Apparently the original Rocksmith doesn't use even a uplay account, so I can share that game with friends and family, but since Rocksmith 2014 requires a uplay login, you can't share that one.
