Bigger is always better. As someone whose gotten used to 120", 27" seems way too small. I wish the 6" screen on my phone was bigger...

This. Staring at a monitor or even a TV feels like I have blinders on, so tiny! Once you go wall-size screen, it's hard to go back.

I think TVs or monitors that are "too large" is a myth. It's not like you're going to see scan lines like with old CRT TVs. You can sit as close as you want and have a screen as big as you want.

Yeah, and with affordable 4K just around the corner what little arguments there are left against large screens will be rendered moot.

I had a 27 inch monitor, it was slightly too big, but that's only because my desk is small.

If you have a desk that doesn't restrict monitor size too much then it's fine, IMO.

I find it quite perfect actually now that I have a bigger desk.

I sit ~65cm away from the screen.

Thats pretty far from the screen...

I'd never want to go back to anything lower than 27" 2560x1440 for general use computing. Having two full windows open side by side is amazing.

That's about 2 feet. Pretty normal for a larger monitor.

Huge screens are great for work and movies, but I don't like them for games. If the game isn't controller-based, where I can play across the room, I will run it at a 4:3 resolution.
... even on Earth Mode.
