Tag. I can't get out of the vault without crashing on Win7 (with an i5) so I definitely need to do something.

This was the same with me. Crashed and froze up randomly nearly every 10 minutes until I changed the file. The game doesn't like processors with multiple cores. Changing the ini changes the number of cores the game uses from 1 to 2 and it fixes all issues with that.
