Zero Civ experience, Civ 5 Complete on sale.. tempted

How easy is it on introducing everything to newcomers? game seems complex.

Civilization games are pretty great for teaching you how to play, especially 5. They're not very complex, but they are deep (in comparison to it's complexity at least). Grab it, you wont regret it.

The game has advisers in it to help you know what to do, and it points out anything interesting happening each turn.

Yeah, tutorials aren't necessary in Civ 5 at all, although the built in ones are decent. You can turn on advice and let the game teach you as you play.
