It feels really... Really open.

Yeah it's just a game, it has the same boundaries and restrictions all other games must adhere to. But it disguises it so well and when you're walking up a hill it feels like anything can happen.

Everything I do in Skyrim feels like an intimate adventure with the benefit of not having 12 million other people running around also being the "chosen one" and I don't notice the rails as much as I do with other games. It's why the Bethesda RPGs are worth playing.

Fallout: New Vegas >>>>> Skyrim >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fallout 3 >> Oblivion

Skyrim was an ok game. Huge step up from Oblivion. Not as good as Morrowind (besides the combat which was way better).

With mods to improve the combat, AI, add NPCs, warzones, deadly dragons, UI improvements, fix the faction and civil war questlines rebalance the perks and improve the graphics it becomes a really good game.

I enjoyed it. It's not the best when it comes to skills (and jump height sucks) but it was fun. The main quest line really is short though. I mean, it felt like it lasted a few hours. Most of the guild quests were short too (mage one was really underwhelming). Oblivion's guild quests were much better. The item you get after the thieves guild quest in Oblivion is much better than losing the good item (and getting something lame for it) in Skyrim.

But overall, I enjoyed it. I had some issues with the game, but don't really feel like ranting about them.
