I'm not sure on that, but if it's anything like the XD I'd say it's a good buy

The Win is may not be as portable though, since people here have been saying that it has some issues going to sleep when you close the clamshell so thats something to consider

It's one of my few problems I have with it, but other than that, no real problems.

Part of the problem is the amount of time it takes to actually play your games. It needs something like Steam big picture mode or Alienware's hivemind to automatically boot into your library to maximize potential. The same way the 3DS, or Vita, or Switch have a simple interface without any fuss to just play games. A more simplistic frontend would make PC gaming a dream on the go.

Microsoft doesn't want to make any simplistic Windows OSs for gaming that is not called "Xbox".

The only other alternative is to have Linux for gaming, and Linux sucks for gaming.

They should consider making their own handheld which is pretty much going to be a GPD but with a much simpler OS footprint. With emulation, oldies, and indies, it could be a really good system.

Imo, Windows 10 S would have been PERFECT for the GPD Win if it allowed you to install exes like how Android allows installing app installation files that didn't come from the Play Store. Then you wouldn't need antivirus at all (in theory at least).

But without the ability to install Steam or various other things like Runescape or World of Warcraft, Windows 10 S is useless for anyone that isn't your technologically illiterate grandma.
