I love The Run :(

The storyline of Most Wanted and Underground is pretty damn trashy, and Hot pursuits 2 doesn't really seem to actually have s toryline, it's just random missions.
But it's a good trashy. Most Wanted and Underground

The Run had a halfway decent story and even though it's really short, it did a great job mixing racing and action game set pieces

Perfectly honest: I still haven't ever played The Run, and based that comment of general opinions I've heard. I actually avoided it because I heard it was meh; Maybe one day I'll grab it for a fiver or something.

Most Wanted---the 2005 one, was one of if not my favorites, as many other people's. I enjoyed it *way* more than the Underground games, really; Mostly because I just didn't get into the dub/mostly night racing style focus. I'm not sure how to explain it, but just in general, I didn't like the 'theme' nearly as much as in Most Wanted.

Most Wanted I enjoyed the characters and the motive of racing to get your ride back, while simultaneously putting basically every other major street racer out of their prized rides in the process, lol.

Plus, just as a whole, I got f***ing hooked on the cop chases for awhile. Had a couple chases that were over $100M bounties, multiple cars with $300M active bounties and no busts, multi-hour long pursuits. And yes, that is while doing more than just camping the bus station or doing freeway laps ;) . But damn, that game being designed so that one spike strip, catching one wheel was a total knockout, meant that even freeway pursuits one a split second decision away from total failure.

Gran Turismo, or Burnout, or Wipeout, or Mario Kart,

Do any of those have an actual story however?

I have to have a little bit of dialogue here and there to enjoy anything I play.

And while I'm playit FOR the story(hell, it's just sentence or 2 setting up the next race) I do like the dialogue. It's campy fun.

*sighs* why do I have a feeling that I'm about to get a mass inlfux of people who aren't actually listning to me telling me that they can't believe that I'm playing it for the story.

Peopl, I'm begging you. I'm already super super depressed, and I'm enjoying this topic. Please have mercy.

Level54 brought level 55 back with a vengeance with a tournament. I basically got very very lucky in the 6th try.

Level 75: Jesus, this was like the hardest level ever. I tried so many different things to finish it, but the only thing that worked was not crashing at all. I'm now rank 5! Less than 40 levels to go!

Underground 2 still has the most customization I've ever seen in a game with a great atmosphere. For racing with cop chases Hot Pursuit 2 is the best.

Wow, Underground 1 in itself has amazing atmosphere. Love the look of the city. if it gets even better, just wow!

btw, do you know how you transfer saves between 1 and 2, and 2 to most wanted?

and yeah, I wanna like Hot pursuits 2, but it just seems to be a bunch of random scenarios instead of a storyline, and more importantly the cars are too hard for me to control.

And on a lesser, but still noteworthy mark, the cops voices are way too damn calm, and there's this graphical glitch that makes all the cars look like ghosts.

Again, the story for Underground isn't anything special, but it's entertaining, and more importantly, so is the dialogue.

I'm really stuck on level 84. Played it for like 7 hours. I feel like the only way I can beat it is by not crahsing even once, and maintaining at least second place for most of the race.

The game can be frustrating at times, but beating these levels after trying for so long gives me a really happy feeling of a well earned victory that I can actually achieve because it's within my skill level.

I finally beat level 83. I understand nitros a little better now, and that's helped out a LOT! that and I really got used to the track and crashed a lot less. Ok, so it wasn't all about luck.

But now I'm stuck on level 84., the Drift level. God I hate these levels so f***ing badly! They're not fun, there's no music, and they're reallly repetitive if you're bad at it. I wish I knew how to make em easier.
