Well, I'm in california and that's their target test city... so we'll see? Claiming to be ubiquitous after all.

Don't have cell service on my phone at the moment though and since you need to upgrade to a 5G supported phone, not going to happen. Wouldn't really need it anyway, I wouldn't really use the internet outside the house that much and wouldn't ever use internet heavy stuff like videos and such that would benefit from the speed more so.

No, because the latency will be s*** as usual. Also, they always hype up a new "g" then severely under-deliver.

No those data connections are meant for phones and tablets not daily PC use. Unless these companies begin actually allowing real unlimited data usage without throttling after you hit 20+ GBs of data it's a no go for me.

If you look at the fine print and technical specifics, mobile data is not even really meant to work indoors. The carriers have a ton of work to do to get the signal strength and building penetration issues sorted out before cellular connections can be viable for home internet.

That explains a lot.

I don't play online games much so it could replace it, if providers starting making limits before extra fees be around 500GB instead of 5. Even then, f*** phone providers. I'm glad I'm on a semi-small ISP that gets great speeds and forced Time Warner's hand into giving decent speeds in my area. There will never be relief from the cell provider oligopoly.
