It's an LG Flatron W2252TQ.The problem is that the screen goes black after a second of being powered on all of a sudden. This started less than ten minutes ago. It can't be anything in the computer because it runs completely fine on a different monitor, and furthermore wasn't having any out of the ordinary hiccups anyway. Not only that, but a completely different computer has it happen too. It can't be the VGA port because it happens with the DVI Port too. Can't be the power cable because it stays on without displaying anything. The tones from the monitor setting buttons also play even when the screen is blacked out.

I am leaning toward "s***'s f***ed, get another one", but can I get a second opinion?

Backlight is toast. Hold a bright light up to the screen and if you look close enough you'll see the display.

But, yeah, s***s f***ed.

That would appear to be the case. A little strange that it works for a second on bootup, but the light test checks out.

The diagnosis is appreciated.
