So many games are so poorly optimized, that looking at the "required" specs doesn't mean very much.

There's games out there with higher required specs than Witcher 3, that look like budget PS3 games

It's not out yet, but it's VR and it's going to probably require a beastly computer to run it properly (which means 90fps or better).

MINIMUM:
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4790K
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce® GTX 1080
Network: Broadband Internet connection
RECOMMENDED:
Processor: Intel® i7-5960X
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce® GTX 1080
Network: Broadband Internet connection

That's my point right there , lol ^

It doesn't look as good as Rise of the Tomb Raider, and has double the requirements.

Ridiculous

Yeah, as if the 1080 minimum weren't ludicrous enough. I know what happened - this was a game that was mean to be released in 2022, but they decided to say "f*** it" and release it early.

So far, it's Ghost Recon Wildlands at Ultra settings for me.

1080ti runs it at 60-80fps in 1080p.
I have a 120hz 1080p monitor so I'd like to run it faster.

Triple screen manages 30-40+ fps

Good thing I picked up a 1080 (non TI) then. Mine would probably dip periodicly below 60 but it would be pretty consistent for me I imagine. Probably similar to Forza Horizon 3. Then again Wildlands is probably unoptimised.

Back to topic and excluding VR games, what game would fit the OP question?

Games designed for top of the line PCs that need their high minimum requirements.

Games designed for top of the line PCs

The only games that unquestionably are designed for top-of-the-line PCs are VR games. Because VR itself requires a top-of-the-line PC.

Every other game is more about including as many people as possible except where something about the game/program explicitly requires better-than-average hardware. Some Indie devs have been pretty lax with their minimum requirement descriptions.

I don't think that actually stayed up there long, but it's amusing that they thought it was a good idea to put that up.

The 2nd one is actually still up to this day...

Minus VR I would imagine Star Citizen to have high requirments. Forza Horizon 3 has pretty high ones too but that was due to not being designed to run at 60fps and other optimization issues.

I think the requirements for Star Citizen is like a constantly changing thing. Back when they only had the hangar module available, my computer (with a 780) could barely make 40fps out of it, but some of that could just be poor optimization.

I think even if they have some listed minimum requirements somewhere right now, it's going to change before the thing is finished...especially as time goes on.

Forza is pretty high, mainly when it comes to the CPU. I can't get a locked 60fps no matter how hard I try.
