Vega is good value for $399 and $499

My vega performs like an overclocked 1080 in time spy @4k

Read the article.

Also if being 5% faster is your definition of mopping the floor (V56 vs 1070) I guess 1080ti rapes V64 (even the AIO version) eh? 40% faster while running cooler and using less power at the same price point.

Love how you have to compare a $700 nvidia card to a $500 AMD card to pretend that you have an argument

Also 56 performs very similarly to 1070 (maybe 3-5% faster on stock?). Once you overclock both to the max, the 1070 will pull ahead. The boost clocks on the 64 and 56 are already very high (~1500MHz). Most air cooled versions are topping out at 1600-1700MHz. For the 1070s you can change the boost clocks to 2100MHz from 1700MHz.

Any 1070 worth buying should be boosting you to 1850-1950Mhz at stock. And not every 1070 going to hit 2100Mhz+. Realistically they're both within 10%~ of their max clocks(depending on the silicon lottery), and trying to paint one as a significantly better overclocker is just being intentionally disingenuous.

And really, Vega 56 probably will OC better than a 1070 does(relative to "stock" performance) once AMD gets working overclocking out. Wattman on the review drivers was even buggier than usual and GamersNexus still had decent results, despite having virtually no time to prepare for it.
