OK this is a bust. Seems to be fake news according to AMDs official statements.
I'm relieved that the thing was a hoax.

I haven't seen anything from AMD other than generic "demand for vega is SO high! We are working to get more stock out!"

nothing about the alleged "introductory offer" stuff

It's certainly disappointing if you were expecting AMD to be competitive. Hotter, louder, and less performant again.
At least they have something for the $500 market now.

At this point if I were to build a new pc it would be with ryzen and Vega with a Freesync monitor.

Freesync is way cheaper than g-sync. I had already owned an nvidia card so I ended up getting g-sync... But my next overhaul will be amd with Freesync unless g-sync gets cheaper.

And yes, g-sync or Freesync make a major difference.

AMD or NVIDIA? How about you get a job and STFU?

Love how you have to compare a $700 nvidia card to a $500 AMD card to pretend that you have an argument

I'm pretty sure the general consensus is that if you have $500 to drop on ONLY your GPU then you should probably just drop the extra $200 and if you honestly can't afford to spend the extra $200 then you probably shouldn't be buying a $500 dollar GPU.
