6700K
H110i GTX
EVGA Z170 FTW
2 x 8GB DDR2400 Corsair
500GB Samsung SSD
1TB Western Digital Black
980TI Hybrid EVGA
850W EVGA Gold
Phantek Evol ATX

selling it for $1300 and its about 1.5-2 years old.

Going to be building this:

7700K
H100 v2
1080 Hybrid
2 x 8GB DDR3000 Corsair LED
S340 ELITE
500GB Samsung M.2
1TB Western Digital Black
650W EVGA Gold GS
ASUS Z270 TUF MARK I

I'll be spending about $400 out of pocket for the new build but I'll be getting an overall better/newer system with noticeable performance increase.

Should I go for it? I currently hate my motherboard, I don't like my liquid cooling setup currently. The GPU is showing age @ 1440p so the 1080 overclocked will be nice. If I can get the CPU to 5ghz that will be a nice performance boost. The m.2 is a little faster then the regular SSD. I also like to build so i sell and rebuild every year, $1300 seems like a lot for my setup, what do you guys think? I know $300 is a lot out of pocket for such a insignificant upgrade but I'm also getting better ram/motherboard/psu/ssd/cooler and its all brand spanking new and not about 2 years old. and from benchmarks I see I could get about a 20-40fps increase with this upgrade which will be really nice.

I went from a 2500k to the 7700k and I thought the upgrade was a bit underwhelming.

because my cpu runs hot, dont like the case or motherboard, want a new psu so i can get custom cables, the gpu is not good for 1440p anymore so id like a 1080. the 6700k runs hot and can barely turbo even with liquid cooling in my case. and I'd like to run a m.2 ssd instead of a regular one for cable management and speeds. also i like to rebuild every 2-3 years so I can keep my equipment fresh from random failures.

If you're having issues with your hardware, don't be a douche and fail to mention those problems to your possible buyers.
