Hey all - I'm in the mood to play a game I'm not quite sure exists. I was wondering if there were any good and relatively modern top-down stealthy/spy games? For instance, the other day I was playing Metal Gear Solid for Gameboy Color and it got me in the mood to play a more modernized version of that game. The mechanics of the game are very outdated, and I know a company could do a great job modernizing it. It also seems like a no-brainer to me considering that it seems popular these days to make retro-style modern games.

I have recently played through the PC game Gunpoint, which was really fun albeit really short. I also have and enjoy Counterspy. Now, I'm looking for a similar retro-style spy shooter, only lengthier, with collectibles, and not necessarily side scrolling. I've done some Google searches without much luck at all. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks so much.

Plenty of 2D side scrolling ones, such as Mark of the Ninja.
